Horseshoe Nebula White on Black

Surely somewhere in the universe is the other end of the Horsehead Nebula, I think we found it.
Ripples emanate out as if the horseshoe – together with some small pebbles – had been dropped on the surface of water with droplets of oil (the voids) too viscous to allow wave propagation.

There is a sense of depth since the voids become smaller as our gaze moves towards the central figure.
